Endodontics
Branch of dentistry that studies the morphology, physiology and pathology of pulp and periradicular tissue. It involves basic and clinical sciences, including normal pulp biology, etiology, diagnosis, prevention and treatment of pulp diseases and associated periradicular infections. The goal is to treat and preserve affected teeth for subsequent rehabilitation by dental restorations and/or prosthodontics.

- Eliminate infections inside the tooth.
- Keeping the tooth in place avoiding extractions.
- Reduce pain associated with dental infections.
- Restore dental health and functionality.
