In 1992, on the occasion of its forty-fifth anniversary, the Central Bank of the Dominican Republic created a specialized structure to manage the health services of its staff, which it called PLANSALUD.
Subsequently, when Law 87-01, which created the Dominican Social Security System, came into effect, the Bank, in accordance with the prerogatives provided by the same Law, decided to convert PLANSALUD into a Health Risk Administrator, a fact that was officially materialized through Accreditation Resolution No. 00050-02 issued on September 3, 2002 by the Superintendency of Health and Labor Risks (SISALRIL). From then on, we received the current name of “ARS Health Plan of the Central Bank”, with services provided exclusively to the active and retired personnel of the Bank and their dependents.
As a self-managed ARS, we have a human team specialized in the different areas related to risk prevention and provision of health services, as well as in the administration and control of the processes derived from the management of these services.
